Terrel Floyd Beck was born July 29, 1948, in Logan, Utah to Floyd Heber Beck and Mable McKay Beck. Terry was an only son but had three sisters: Janice, Bonnie, and Nancy.

Later, his mother remarried Arnout Hartvigsen, and he and his family moved to Downey, Idaho. Terry gained a brother from that marriage. Terry grew up in Downey. He attended Downey Elementary, Downey Jr. High, and Marsh Valley High School. While attending school, he was on the football team and ran track. He had an exciting four years. His summers were spent working for Luke Bloxham. He loved being outdoors.

He was drafted into the army in August 1967. He served two years in Thailand and was honorably discharged in October 1969.

Terry and Bonnie were married on June 24, 1978. Their children are Chris, Rossie, and Amy. They made their home in Downey, Idaho. Terry worked for M.V. School District for 27 years. He also worked for Bosie Cascade.

Terry was a proud veteran who carried his love of country and fellow veterans throughout his life. He was an active member of the American Legion and proudly served as Vice Commander. His dedication to serving others and honoring those who served was a meaningful part Of his life and legacy.

He worked hard for his family. His wife and children always came first. Terry loved his family and when his grandkids started coming, they stole his heart. He was a great dad and grandpa.

Hunting and fishing were his first love, and he waited anxiously for each season. He taught his son and daughters the joys of hunting. Terry passed onto them the love of the outdoors.

Terry passed away September 21 , 2026. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his son Chris (wife Deena) Boulder, Wyoming, two daughters Rossalynn, Annapolis, Maryland and Amy (husband Nick Phillips), Downey, Idaho. He has ten grandchildren and two sisters: Bonnie Wise and Janice Holt.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Beck, mother, Mable Hartvigsen, brother, Tim Hartvigsen and sister, Nancy Facer.

There will be a private family viewing at the Horsely Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo, Idaho on September 28, 2026, at 11 a.m. This will be followed by a graveside service honoring Terry's life at the Downey Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Friends are welcome.
