Obituary

Downey...Ruth Denney Foster, 77, born April 18, 1940, passed away from natural causes on December 29, 2017, in Downey, Idaho.
After graduating from Marsh Valley High School in 1958, Ruth married Theron Jake Foster in1959. During their 17-year marriage, Ruth was a devoted wife, stay-at-home mother, and she enjoyed watching soap operas and baking. Ruth moved to Southern California when she remarried in 1978. After a brief marriage, Ruth returned to her hometown in1981.
Ruth was a caring, intelligent woman, who taught her daughters valuable lessons about love, independence, and equity. She had fond memories of her childhood on the family's farm with her parents and three brothers. In later years, she enjoyed traveling with family and friends to Sun Valley, Nevada, California, New York City, and New Orleans.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Oliver and Ruth Henwood Denney, and brother, W. Dean Denney. She will be laid to rest next to them in the Downey Cemetery. Ruth is survived by two brothers, Glen Denney (Gloreen) and Robert Denney (Mary), her daughters, Diana Hadley and Bonnie Harrison (Garry), six grandchildren, Christopher Allende (Stephanie), Michelle Gilbert (Adam), Victoria Read (Holden), Shawn Hadley, Kelli Hadley, and Otto Cipolla, and seven great-grandchildren, Eric, Kiera, Hailey, Mikaela, Olivia, Jake, and Emerson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 4 at 12:30 p.m. in the Horsley's Marsh Valley Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family for 30 min prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Downey City Cemetery.
Ruth was cherished by her family. She will forever be in their thoughts, prayers, and hearts.
