Rula Jean (Isaacson) Thomas passed away peacefully at her home after an
> extended illness on March 27,2009. Rula,as she was affectionately known by
> everyone was born December 2, 1936. She was the last of seven children
> born to Joseph Martin and Jetta (Ipsen)) Isaacson in Malad, Idaho. Her
> father called her his little angel, a name that she lived up to for the
> rest of her busy life.

> Rula was preceded in death by her two sons Shane and Kelly. Two
> brothers Carl and Stanley, her sisters Margaret and Marie, and her
> parents Joseph and Jetta Isaacson.

> Rula grew up in the family home at Pleasant View where she was loved by
> immediate family and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She attended school
> for her first four years in the yellow school house across the street from
> the Pleasant View church. After the Plesant View school was consolidated
> with the Malad School district she attended the Malad Schools where she
> Graduated from Malad High in 1955.

> Rula married Dale Arnold Fuhriman on 20 jan 1956 in the Logan Temple. To
> that union was born four Children: Kathy Jean Schwartz, Dale Kelly, Shane
> and Joseph Bart. They lived in Canada in the Peace River country until 11
> Dec., 1967 when Rula and Dale divorced and Rula and children moved back to
> Malad. As a single mom in a smaill town Rula tried a multitude of
> endeavors to make a living for her family. Among those endeavors were
> operating
> Restaurants, building homes, making candles, pictures, and jewlery,
> cooking at Restaurants and most recently selling real estate.
> She started with the Sweeten Agency, then went to Vanderwood Reality,
> and most recently for Exit Real Estate. She was noted for her knowlege of
> the Malad area and her honesty and integrity.

> On 20 Feb, 1969 she married Darrel Thomas whom later divorced in 20 march,
> 1978. With the death of her two sons Shane in 1997 and Kelly in 2001,Rula
> devoted her talents, time,and energy to the community she loved .

> She is survived by two children Kathy Schwartz(Kevin)of Gillette, WY;
> Joseph Bart Fuhriman of Lander, WY, two Brothers Isaac Dale Isaacson
> (Helen) of San Jones, CA and Joseph Lynn Isaacson(Christina) of Weiser,
> ID, and eight grandchildren. As the family has mingled in the community
> we have been overwhelmed by the love shown by its members for Rula, by
> their acts of kindness and by their willingness to help in any way. We as
> her family Deeply appreciate this and it has made her passing much
> easier.
