Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away at the Idaho State Veteran's Home in Pocatello Idaho on January 14, 2017 at the age of 76.

He was born March 17, 1940 to William Ross Cottam and Clara Tippetts Cottam in Malad Idaho.

He graduated high school in Malad and attended college in Oregon where he majored in business.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1970. He was a Vietnam Veteran and serviced as a Drill Sargent at Fort Lewis Army Base.

His family and friends meant the world to him. He never missed a chance to tell them how much he loved them.

He is survived by his two sons, Doug and Jay, his brother Delone, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren of whom the youngest was born on the day of his passing. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Burial will follow in the Snowville Cemetery where military rites will be accorded.
