Jo Ann Nesser Higgins

Jo Ann, 79, was surrounded by her family as she passed from this world on Dec. 28, 2014 to be with her loved ones who moved on before her.

She was born Jan. 18, 1935 to Jane Rowe Nesser and Joe Nesser in Lava Hot Springs then grew up in McCammon where she attended school.

She married Dewain Higgins on Feb. 19, 1955 and they spent their entire lives in McCammon. They had nine children, 17 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. Jo Ann was an amazing mother and grandmother having raised her children while also working in the restaurant business most of her life. She was always there for her children and grandchildren with delicious pies, advice, and support.

Jo Ann is survived by her children: Dave and Rhonda Nesser of Pocatello, Cheryl and Trent Allen of Roseville, CA, Larry Higgins, Jerry Higgins, Suzy and Doug Richards, Bonnie Higgins, Mary Higgins Wilson and John and Patti Higgins all of McCammon. She is also survived by three brothers: Keith, Larry and John all of McCammon. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband Dewain, a son, a grandson, and a sister.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3 at 12 noon in the McCammon LDS Stake Center. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the service.
