Our precious Lisa Jensen, 53, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. Lisa was born in Downey, ID February 11, 1962 to Vestal and Helen Jensen. She was raised in Downey and attended Special Education school in McCammon, ID. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Lisa was a country girl who loved horses, country music, dancing and all things western. She enjoyed doing latch hook rugs which won many ribbons at the South Bannock County Fair. Lisa competed in the Special Olympics and won lots of medals in swimming and bowling. She moved to Shelley, ID to live with her sister after the death of her father. She loved working at Development Workshop where she assembled products. Lisa later moved into New Beginnings Community Living Home where she made many friends and enjoyed doing lots of activities with them. Her sweet smile, contagious laugh and kind spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Lisa is survived by her sister Launa (Chris) Maynard (Shelley, ID), her brother Blake Jensen and his fiancée Kay Wells (Downey, ID) and many nieces and nephews who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew. Funeral services will be held in The Downey LDS 1st Ward Church on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery.
