Kathryn Thomas Bogk
2/26/1924 – 1/14/2014

Kathryn passed away peacefully on January 14, 2014 at age 89, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kathryn was born February 26, 1924, daughter of Peter Thomas and Cina Jenkins Thomas at her parent's home in St. John, Idaho. Kathryn felt very special because she was one of twins, her twin brother being Khalil P. Thomas. She had a constant companion and friend.
After graduation from Malad High school, she moved to Ogden, Utah and did office work for four years, then decided to go to cosmetology school. Kathryn worked in that field for 30 years. During that time (1985) she acquired her own styling salon in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Robert H. Bogk and Kathryn were married Dec. 16, 1950 at her parent's home in St. John, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Thomas Garth Thomas and Khalil P. Thomas. She is survived by her sister, Helen T. Williams and many caring nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
A short service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W 300 N. in Malad, Idaho. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 2:00-2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
