Obituary

Hank Mailhoit
Blackfoot....Henry Leonard "Hank" Mailhoit Jr., 64, passed away at his home following a short illness on February 4, 2011. He was born August 7, 1946 in Boston MA., a son of Henry Leonard and Dorothy Eileen Nelson Mailhoit. He was educated and raised in Boston. Hank enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War and became a Green Beret in the Special Forces unit. Hank was very proud to have served the country he loved and was in the armed forces for 3 years. Following his service time, he became a millwright and had worked in various jobs in MA., Caliifornia and Oklahoma. He especially loved working with his brother Dave, who preceded him in death. Hank loved collecting firearms and was a military history buff. He enjoyed cooking and had a love for dogs, including Roetweillers and Dobermans, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He is survived by a sister; Karen (Lonnie) Jones of Downey; a brother; Paul (Ruth) Mailhoit of Moreland and step mother; Joan Mailhoit of Santa Cruz, CA.. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dave and brother, Steven. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 9, 2011 at 12 noon in Horsley's Marsh Valley Funeral home 570 N. Meadowoview Dr. in Arimo. Friends may visit with Hank's family on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to services from 10:30-11:45am.
