George "DeRay" Hobson passed away at home on Sunday January 24, 2016 due to complications from cancer. He was the son of George T and Gladys Avery Hobson.
DeRay was self employed most of his life in farming, ranching, logging, trucking, feed supplement, weed spraying, and for the past 24 years he was an inspector for Ireland Bank.
He is survived by his wife Karen and 7 children. Barry (Terry) Hobson, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho Brad Hobson, Hamilton, Montana, Kelly (Connie) Hobson, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, Cody (Robbie) Hall, New River Arizona, Amanda (Randy) Kirby, Grace, Idaho, Daniel Hobson Wichita Falls, Texas, and Eric Hobson Soda Springs, Idaho; 1 Brother Richard (Mary) Hobson , 2 sisters Darlene (Dwayne) James, McCammon, Idaho, and DeAnn (Bob) Wilkins, Idaho Falls, Idaho. He has many grand children and great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his parents George T and Gladys Avery Hobson, brother Jerry Hobson, 2 sister-in-laws LaJean Day Hobson and Edna Gilbreth Hobson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday. January 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the Horsley's Marsh Valley Funeral Home, 570 N. Meadowview Dr. in Arimo. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m. and from 10-11:00 a.m. on Friday prior to the service.
