Franklin D. Nelson beloved father, grandfather and friend was born August 19, 1939 in American Fork, Utah to Nels and Sadie Nelson.

He married Gloria Mae Gull on June 10, 1961. They had 6 children and were married 56 years at the time of her passing. Dee remained a loving and loyal husband making sure her grave never went a day without flowers.

Dee served in the US Navy and worked most of his life as an industrial mechanic.
Dee had many hobbies and interests over the years, from raising horses, hunting bobcats and fishing to 4-wheeling and gardening.

He lived a full life that took him around the world and got into more shenanigans than can or should be named. From raising peacocks with an LDS profit to partying with Willie Nelson, Dee lived every aspect of life to its fullest.

Dee is proceeded in death by his wife Gloria and sons Worren and Kurtis. He is survived by his children David; DeeAnn; Vicki; Jason as well as many grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and his beloved canine friend Marty.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday July 8th at 12 noon at the Downey Cemetery.
