Emily Davis Sheridan
Malad........Emily Louise Davis Sheridan, 81, wife of Dan Sheridan, passed away on January 5, 2010. She was born June 11, 1928 in Malad, a daughter of Griff J. and Vernal Caldwell Davis. Emily was raised and educated in Malad. On July 20, 1947, she married D. Daniel Sheridan in Pocatello and they lived there for a short time and also in Malad. In the early 50's, Dan's employment took them to Glendale, California where he worked in the Steel industry and Emily was employed as a waitress. They also lived and worked in Hacienta Heights for a time. For several years they lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and in 1982 returned to Malad where they have since resided. Emily enjoyed gardening, remodeling and decorating their homes, doing ceramic art and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and following their actiivities. She was an active member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Auxillaries. She was also an active member of the Catholic Church and it's many functions. Emily is survived by her husband, Dan of Malad; daughters; Sandra (Richard, dec.) Bastianelli of Fullerton, Ca.; Danice (Carl) Raff of Brea, CA.; Jean (Marc) Clugston of SLC, Utah; 1 son; Dan Sheridan of Seattle, Washington. 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; 1 brother; Jack (Jeanette) Davis of Rigby, ID. 4 sisters; JoAnn (Bill) Williams of Fredrickson, CO.; Marlene (Owen Ray, dec.) Thomas of Malad; Pearl (Darwin) Tolbert of Salt Lake City, UT.; Deanna (Jim) Johnston of Fredrickson, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Funeral Catholic Mass and service will be held on Monday January 11, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. in Malad. Friends may visit with the Sheridan family on Sunday evening Jan. 10 from 7-8 pm and on Monday at the funeral home prior to service from 9:30-10:45 am. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
