Eldon Loy Martindale, 93, passed away Saturday January 27, 2024. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho on July 4, 1930.

He's been living with his son Randy and his wife Sherrie in Malad for the past 4 years.

He joined the Air Force during the Korean War. On his way home from boot camp he bought an engagement ring for his sweetheart, Donna Mae Davis. They were married on July 2, 1949. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on March 29, 1951. They were married 74 years.

He worked for Union Pacific Railroad among other odd jobs, including Donna's dads farm.

He is survived by his 5 children. Randy (Sherrie) Martindale, Clint (Candace) Martindale, Kristen (Kenny) Openshaw, Brad (Korin Bartel) and Lois Bodily (Matt Anderson) 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday February 5, 2024 at 12 noon at Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. Malad, Idaho. A viewing will take place from 11:00-11:45 am. Burial will follow the service at the Malad City Cemetery.
