Dwight Dean Goodnight was born in Sacramento California on November 1, 1950 to Dewey and Patricia L. Goodnight.

Dwight went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Dewey Goodnight Jr and Steven D. Goodnight, Mother in law Joyce C. Pearce & father in law Richard H. Pearce, brothers in law: Jerry Broyles & Merlin & Wife Patsy Edwards.

Survived by his beloved wife Nancy Sharon Goodnight, father in law Clyde Broyles & 4 sons and their wives; Dwight D Jr. (Christie), Boyd Issac (Lisa), Jeromy(Jana), Don(Sue), as well as 12 wonderful grandkids and 19 beautiful great-grandkids. Brother in laws: Don Edwards (Sue), Kelly Broyles (Julie), Raymond Pearce. Several well loved nieces & nephews.

Dwight was well loved by nieces & nephews. Dwight was a welder and worked for Hill Airforce Base. He was also a truck driver from 1999 to 2010. He was a great shade tree mechanic and could fix almost anything he came across. He loved hunting and fishing and the off colored joke. Dwight loved spending time with family, camping and sitting around the camp fire.
