Donald Hughes, 80, of Malad, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at home, peacefully with his wife, daughter and son-in-law at his side.
He was born December 5, 1934 to Chester Rawland Hughes and Phoebe Ann Thomas.
Don loved to farm, hunt, fish and raise miniature ponies. He always loved selling his wifeÕs favorite horse. He also loved herding sheep with his mom and dad.
Don worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda of Malad, and two daughters, Vickie and Donna. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Terrie Hughes. He has 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday January 30, 2014 at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W 300 N in Malad.
