Deborah Ann Torrez, 67 longtime Pocatello resident passed away on January 17, 2017 following a long illness.

Deborah was born April 27, 1949 in Fresno, California to LeRoy and EuLita Plaskett. She was raised and educated in Fresno, California. She married Carlos Garcia Torrez August 19, 1971 in Madera, California. Together they lived in California, Oklahoma and finally settled in Pocatello, Idaho.

Deborah worked for her brother Lee Plaskett at his chiropractic office in Pocatello and then for Dr. Dewain Lee also a chiropractor.

Deborah was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her husband Carlos, sons Jamie & Jacob (Wendy) Torrez, granddaughters Luna, Kira, Pandora, Brother Lee Plaskett and Sister Pam Plaskett.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 23 at 12:30 p.m. in the Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 11a.m.-12 noon in the Chubbuck 11th Ward LDS Church, 4773 Independence Dr. in Chubbuck.
