Downey-Cordell Robert Chandler, 18, returned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Cordell was born on April 6, 1997, a celestial child of Deren and Julie Jones Chandler. Cordell was born with an extremely rare genetic disorder that left him with many limitations keeping him from living a normal life but he never complained. He had an amazing spirit that touched all who knew him. His departure leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Cordell is survived by his grandparents; Max and Diane Jones, Malta, and Seren and Peggy Chandler, Inkom. His parents Deren and Julie Chandler, Downey and his sisters; Derelie Chandler, Chubbuck; Kortney (Brandon) Call, Swan Lake; Alexi Chandler, Downey and a brother, Kaleb Chandler, Downey; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a nephew. He was preceded in death by a grandmother and three uncles. The family would like to thank all those who helped take care of Cordell's needs over the years. Your service is greatly appreciated! Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 11 a.m. at the Downey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday evening from 6-7 p.m. and again from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oakley, Idaho.
