Blanche Elizabeth Clerkin, 87, a Malad, Idaho resident, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, following a long illness. Blanche was born on May 28, 1939, in Sumner, Illinois. A daughter of Nesbit and Blanche Henry.

She married John Clerkin on June 18, 1955, in Fort Collins, Colorado. They made their home in California. 

She is survived by her two sons, Ron and Jerry of Malad, Idaho, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband John, her so Kenneth, two brothers and 3 sisters. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Horsley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
