Ashli Nichole Haven

Our beautiful mother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2026, in Big Piney, Wyoming, at the young age of 38.

Ashli was the first daughter born to Tony Haven and Terry Nielsen on March 18, 1988, in Tremonton, Utah. She grew up in Malad with her four siblings She attended an graduated from Malad High School in 2006 and graduated from cosmetology school in 2016. In 2018, she married the love of her life, Morgan Hunt. They later divorced.

If you knew her, you knew how impossible it was not to laugh when she was around. She had a quick wit, a contagious sense of humor, and a gift for turning even the hardest days into moments filled with laughter. She was the kind of person who made life more fun simply by being in it.

She was also wonderfully stubborn—stubborn as a mule, as those who loved her would proudly say—and she had a fiery spirit that could never be ignored. She spoke her mind without hesitation and loved with everything she had. Beneath that fierce exterior was a big heart, unwavering loyalty, and a willingness to stand by the people she loved, no matter the circumstances.

From the time she was a spunky little girl, she faced life with boldness and heart. As a sister, she was unwavering. As a daughter, she was deeply loved. Most importantly, she was the proud mother of her three handsome boys, who were the center of her world. She loved them with everything she had, and they will forever carry her strength, humor, and love with them. She was an amazing aunt.

She loved animals, hunting and fishing with her boys, the great outdoors, her coffee, and her pajamas.

While Ashli carried burdens that were often unseen and faced battles with her mental health, those struggles were only one chapter of her story—they never defined the remarkable woman she was. She will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure. Until we meet again, we will carry her in our hearts every day.

Suicide didn't define her life, but it forever changed ours. It left behind a silence that can never truly be filled and a heartbreak that words can hardly describe. It didn't just take one precious life—it touched every person who loved her. Those of us left behind will always wonder if there was something more we could have done, something more we could have said, or one more hug we could have given. We carry the weight of unanswered questions alongside the memories of her laughter, her love, and the beautiful person she was.

She is survived by her sons, Shane and Ashton Purdum, and Bentley Hunt; her mother, Terry Jensen Nielsen; her father, Tony (Shelly) Haven; her brothers, Josh Olsen, Tyson (Crystal) Haven, and Mikah Schwartz; her sisters, Taliesha (James) Clark and Kaydin Haven; her grandfather, Lloyd Haven; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by Morgan Hunt; her cousin, Austin Neiffenegger; her uncle, Robert Jensen; her grandparents, Bill (Joanie) Jensen, Charla Wight, and Opal Stickler; along with many other loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 12 noon at Horsley Funeral Home. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 11-12.
