Alta Price Knudsen, 92, died on May 13, 2014. Alta was born Nov. 4, 1921 in Malad, Idaho, daughter of John Morris and Ruth Williams Price. Raised and educated in Malad. Married LaMont Knudsen Sept. 8, 1940. They resided in Samaria, Malad and Salt Lake City, Utah. They later retired to Portage, Utah. LaMont passed away on June 18, 1998. The past few years she resided with her daughter, Kathleen Markham in Salt Lake City. She is survived by her children: Kathleen Markham of SLC, Utah; Ren (Linda) Knudsen, Tooele, Ut.; Pauline (Merve) Evans, SLC,Ut; Randy (Jackie) Knudsen, Jacksonville, FL.; Jeff (Elaine) Knudsen, Kanab,Ut.; Kendall (Rose) Knudsen, W. Jordan, Ut.; 2 sisters; Patsy (Khalil) Scott, Pleasantview, ID.; Mary Behunan, Provo, Ut.; 27 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, husband; 2 grandchildren; John Markham and Jeffrey Knudsen; 2 daughters in law; Juanita Knudsen and Vickie Knudsen. Funeral services will be held Friday May 16, 2014 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. Malad, Idaho. Friends may visit with family Friday prior to services from 10:30 -11:45 am.
